Choose country error

Got issue where I cannot sign in since I am asked to choose a country but there is no option to do this. I am therefore locked out from signing in.

Bugs

#1. My friend could not find my email after I verified it. #2. Calls crash too often

Great idea but it has bugs

Right now the biggest concern I have is not getting push notifications. When I try to send a message to someone theyre not getting notified unless they open the app. Besides this issue I love this app and I hope to see this problem fixed in a future update.

Security deservs 4 stars

The security it allegedly provides deserves 4 stars on its own. The rating is also for encouragement purposes. Im withholding one star though, because the audio calls are glitchy (it didnt work for me as there is always someone in the conversation not hearing the other one)

Just doesnt work

A real disappointment, an app from someone that you expect to deliver that rather has dropped the ball completely. Tried multiple times and ways to get it to work - always showed as offline, couldnt deliver messages, ... - a complete waste of time.

Crashes a lot

After using the app for a few minutes with a friend the app crashed. Now every time I open the app it crashes within 30 seconds.

Battery+data hog

Please improve data+battery drain

Has Potential, Horizontal Only?

Awesome app, but I cant stand the horizontal only mode on iPad. Hoping for an up update to fix this! Thanks!

Almost broke my relationship with gf.

I really want to like this app. I dont use whatsapp, line, wechat, etc because they are bulky, full of unnecessary crap and do not value my privacy. However Bleep needs to fix three things before I can depend on it as my main conversation software. 1) Messages HAVE TO be delivered. My girlfriend and I were going through some issues and since she was abroad we relied on Bleep for communication whenever she got wifi. I sent her a few messages telling her how I wanted to resolve our issues and she never replied to me. I felt like s#!% because i thought she was ignoring me. A few days later she calls me from a payphone to ask me why Im not replying to her... Turns out the messages she had sent me were not delivered to me at all. Long story short, messages need to be delivered and need to do so consistently whether I have the app running in the background or havent opened it for weeks. 2) My biggest struggle with convincing my friends and family to switch over from competing messaging apps has been instructing them how to set up an account. This app needs a intro screen when you open it up that will give you the option to continue anonymously or set up a connection to your email or phone number. The screen should also allow the user to do a database search to see what contacts are using Bleep and allow them to be added effortlessly. 3)The app needs some way of managing contacts independently of conversations. The current system works great for people with a few friends... But it gets really annoying really fast when you have 10+ people and you have to keep scrolling to find the person you want to talk to. Also, some people sometimes get annoying or say little and you just want to delete the convo but not the connection to them entirely.. So please look into this. Lastly, as a bonus it would be nice to be able to make the app cross platform as in set it up on the phone and then be able to get the desktop app to sync from the phone. I downloaded the desktop version to use one day that I had low battery and only found a way of setting up the desktop and syncing to the phone.. Not in reverse. But hey, I say all of this with the best optimism that my constructive criticism will inspire you guys to make this app the best communication platform available for users. I really look forward to giving this app a second trial in the future and hope I can finally convince my friends and family to leave all those other stupid pointless apps.. Ugh specially FB messenger and its annoying s#!%..

Are u kiding me…

Message cant received at all… Since the main privacy, why not have password protect…

Great concept - poor implementation

Needs improvement. Messages dont get through and cause miscommunication. Some messages are instant, some take hours or never. When switching apps it should auto close whisper mode and go to main screen. Hope they keep at it. It could be great.

Needs passcode

Needs passcode and more user-friendly settings. In other words a little more customizable.

Great start

Needs passcode/finger scan soon. Please and thank you.

Always Offline

Still needs better presence stability, even after the latest update. **Tested between iPad and iPhone

Notifications do not work

I dont get messages unless I have the app open.

crashes more than i could count

I would love to see the app grow, but that seems hopeless , it crashed everytime i was deleting an contact. It also doesnt have an option to sign in with your existing account so u have to make a new one every time u sign in :////

Crashing after latest update

The app is not useable at the moment. Keeps on crashing upon launch. What gives?

Not working. No communication

Doesnt work. Cannot get contacts from my book. Cannot make conversation with invited friend. I write to a friend and he does not get the messages.

Desperately needs group chat feature

Nicely designed app. Registering with phone number or email address is optional not required. One can just pick a username instead and share their user key with friends using other methods. End to end encryption means only sender and receiver can see messages. Peer to peer means no messages stored on servers potentially susceptible to hackers. Excellent optional whisper feature where messages disappear after being read. Some negatives: no group chat, not open source (cant be independently verified to ensure app provides the privacy and security claimed); light on features (no voice or video messages or video calling that other messaging apps offer for free). This app looks very promising. It desperately needs group chat to even compete. It needs more messaging features to get my friends to switch from whatsapp and others. Add these features and make it open source and you have a winner IMO.

Disappointing. And still not working.

I was waiting for that kind of application many years. Finally it is available. Despite all the limitations that are present in app such as impossible to save picture, send documents, etc I am keen to use it as privacy is more important than that. Unfortunately I am having difficulty to use even basic things like sending a simple message or make a call. It is not resending messages if user is offline. But even if user is perfectly online messages longer then couple of letters (!!!!) are failing to be delivered and from time to time crash the app. The very same relates to calls. And all that in a purely open home wifi network with direct visibility of devices, highest signal strength and only 2 devices on the hotspot. !!! Disappointing. Still hoping that it will be fixed though unable to use it. Logs are not sent out for the very same reason that I chose application- privacy. But Im ready to make an exception and send them out upon request.
